WHY THE KING OF THE HILL TRAINER?
RICH DUNNO
In an "Athletic Pitching Motion" the pitcher needs to ultimately utilize every ounce of energy he or she can produce while under control during the "LEG DRIVE PHASE" and transfer this power from the lower body through the core and upper body into the throwing arm. Energy needs to be produced and transferred in an efficient and connected manner. If you don't utilize 100% of this "POTENTIAL ENERGY" you will never throw as hard as you are capable of!!!
ROGER JANEWAY - TEXAS RANGERS
"This is about as scientific as I can be..it is proven that a human's legs are the strongest parts of the body......With pitching, it is a FACT that pitchers with greater leg drive produces greater wrist velocity (thus greater mph);
"A pitching motion begins with the lower body
and then progresses through the body core before
finishing with arm speed."
JEFF JONES - DETROIT TIGERS PITCHING COACH
To create more VELOCITY
you must.......
"PUT MORE POWER TO THE GROUND!!."

Coach Mills: The back leg is a very important component for maximizing velocity. The pitcher must first learn how to shift his weight by leaning his front hip toward the plate. That is what helps build early momentum.
After he starts to lead with his front hip, his hands will break and it is at that point that his back leg will begin to extend by "PUSHING DOWN" and back "AGAINST THE RUBBER".
DICK MILLS- FORMER RED SOX PITCHER/ PITCHING.COM
"The concept of utilizing lateral force and recruiting the gluteus medius is critically important to both velocity creation and arm health and durability."

RON WOLFORTH-TEXAS BASEBALL RANCH
DR MIKE MARSHALL- LA DODGERS- CY YOUNG WINNER
"For my third law of force application for baseball pitchers,
I determined that..... to achieve their maximum release velocities"
"BASEBALL PITCHERS MUST APPLY FORCE
TOWARD 2ND BASE."
