Kibler and Chandler calculated that a 20% decrease in kinetic energy delivered from (back leg drive) to the hip and trunk to the arm requires a 34% increase in the rotational velocity of the shoulder to impart the same amount of force to the hand.

Tip:

When you train the legs with the trainer, you will create FORCE from consistant repetitions that will build 'Muscle Memory' and 'Leg strength' that will help relieve stress in the throwing arm.

"This is about as scientific as I can be, it is proven that a human's legs are the strongest parts of the body.  With pitching, it is a fact that pitchers with greater leg drive produces greater wrist velocity (thus greater mph).  A pitching motion begins with the lower body and then progresses through the body core before finishing with arm speed."

Bill Thurston's book on pitching was the first information I got my hands on which evolved into Dick Mills then to Tom House (who I spent a week with in his "Certification Camp"). I then attended two of Ron Wolforth's Coaches Clinics  with Brent Strom (pitching coach with the Houston Astros) then went on and studied Rick Peterson (Baltimore Orioles Director Of Pitching Development) 3P Sports.

 

Also Eric Cressey is another huge influence is my understanding and beliefs on what happens in an 'athletic' pitching motion.
